India Heritage Night at the United Center
On Friday March 24th, 2017, the United Center will be home to the Chicago Bulls’ first ever India Heritage Night group event. The event is hosted by Rupak Parikh, Parag Parikh, and Roshan Shah and seeks to serve two purposes:
First, the India Heritage Night at the United Center will serve as an opportunity to strengthen the bond between the South Asian community and the Bulls organization. The Bulls have been gracious enough to provide attendees with the following unique family friendly activities between 2PM CST and 4PM CST.
Take Your Best Shot- Shoot baskets on the United Center floor
City of Champions- Take pictures with the Bulls 6 NBA Championship trophies
Have a Seat- Take pictures on the Bulls or Visitor’s bench
Front and Center- Take pictures at center court on the iconic Bulls logo
Radha on the Dance Floor- Enjoy the beats of Bollywood’s preferred DJ, DJ Sohbash
Legen-dary – Meet a Bulls Ambassador (former player)
Private Practice – Watch the Bulls go through their pre-game walk through before the United Center is opened to the public
Cheers – Take pictures with members of the LuvaBulls
Each guest arriving between 2PM and 4PM will also receive a Dwayne Wade Bobble head and Bulls Mini Poster.
Secondly, the event will serve as the rollout of the C.H.I. initiative put forth by the event’s hosts. C.H.I. seeks to celebrate the South Asian Culture, raise awareness of key South Asian Health issues, and honor those members of the community that have had a positive Impact on the community at large.
For its launch, C.H.I. will support the following:
Culture: Supporting the Indo American Heritage Museum’s efforts to bring the Beyond Bollywood exhibit to Chicago’s Field Museum.
Healthcare: Showcasing the epidemic of obesity, diabetes, and heart disease that disproportionately afflicts the South Asian Community.
Impact: Presenting special guests Alderman Ameya Pawar (candidate for Governor of Illinois) and Emmy winner Ash-har Quraishi to meet and mingle with attendees.
