In rememberence of the 15th Anniversary of 9/11

15 years

It's been 15 years since the towers fell;

15 years since the taliban opened the gates of hell;

15 years since we witnessed the pentagon burning;

15 years since the world seemed to stop turning;

15 years since we all mourned;

15 years since a new resolve was born;

15 years since we swore we'd always remember;

15 years since that fateful 11th of September;

15 years filled with our humanity and our fears;

15 years since lady liberty wept all of our tears;

15 years of war, war, and war;

15 years but still there's more;

15 years since we promised we'd never forget;

15 years filled with sorrow, but yet...;

those 15 years have taught us something;

that life is simply loving each other while we're still living;

15 years and here we are;

15 years and my we've come far;

15 years filled with dreams of peace love and prosperity;

15 years and one thing is certain with unwavering clarity;

It's been 15 years since our collective spirit dug a little deeper;

15 years later I am reminded that "I am my brother's keeper.
