A look at the Bruno Mars 24K Magic Tour
Bruno Mars is in the midst of his 2017-2018 24K Magic Tour. I attended the August 16, 2017 show at the United Center in Chicago. If you're attending a future show here are a few nuggets that might help in your enjoyment of the experience.
Opening act Camila Cabello (formerly of Fifth Harmony) takes the stage at the scheduled concert start time. For the Chicago show, it was 8pm CST. She performs for just under a half hour. So if you want to see her set get to the venue on time.
Bruno Mars took the stage at about 9:25pm CST just shy of an hour and half after the scheduled concert start time so if you're only interested in seeing Bruno get to the venue within a hour after the scheduled start time and you should be just fine.
Overall the concert, including encore, is about an hour and a half long. The Chicago United Center show ended just after 11pm CST.
24K Magic is the second song of the concert and it's a big production number, so don't miss it. The first half of the show is almost exclusively music from the 24K Magic album, including Versace on the Floor, and That's What I Like.
The ending 40 minutes of the concert features mostly Bruno Mars hits from previous albums including Grenade, Just the Way You Are, When I Was Your Man, and Treasure.
The Encore is comprised of Locked Out of Heaven and Uptown Funk.
There are really no bad seats for this Tour. The stage show is filled with dancing, lights, fireworks, pyrotechnics, video screens and more. It may actually be beneficial to not be too close to the stage so you can enjoy the full scope of the light show.
Other than cursing, the concert is a fairly clean concert.
